Balasiguga

Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the individual developer (a sole trader) based in Australia, ABN 70 202 810 083, who provides Balasiguga ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Balasiguga you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can sign up

Accounts are for adults. To create an account you must be at least 18 years old and be the parent or legal guardian of the children you add, or have their parent's or guardian's permission. Children do not have their own accounts. They use Balasiguga on a device you connect with a family code, and you are responsible for that use.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google, Apple or an email link. Keep access to that sign-in method safe. A family code connects one device to your family; it works once and expires after ten minutes, so only share it with your child. You can see every connected device in the app and remove any of them.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, questions and answers you add. You give us permission to store, process and display them only to run Balasiguga for your family, including sending the parts you select to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Only add material you're allowed to use, such as your child's own work and papers you have for your family's study. Don't add other people's personal information.

4. AI features

AI reads questions from photos, screenshots and papers, and suggests answers and topics. AI can be wrong. Check what it produces before you save it. Balasiguga is a study aid and doesn't replace teachers, schools or professional advice.

5. Fair use

Storage and AI are meant for one family's normal study. Each plan has a monthly AI request limit, and we may apply daily safety limits or pause AI features temporarily to protect the service. Don't try to get around limits, share an account between families, scrape or overload the service, or use it for anything unlawful.

6. Free plan, trial and Pro

The Free plan costs nothing. Every new family gets a 14-day Pro trial with no card needed; when it ends you move to Free and are not charged. Current plans and prices are on our Pricing page.

Pro is a subscription paid monthly or yearly in advance, priced in Australian dollars and paid through Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the app; Pro continues until the end of the period you've paid for and then moves to Free. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries again for a short time; if it still can't be paid, Pro ends and your family moves to Free. If we change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

When you buy Pro, choose the country you live in. For customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, Link (a Stripe service) is the reseller and seller of record for the Pro subscription, and its terms for that sale also apply. If the country you chose isn't where you live, we may refund the purchase and ask you to buy again.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. If Pro ends for any reason, nothing in your family is deleted; see the Pricing page for what changes.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those guarantees or any other rights you have under consumer laws that apply to you.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Balasiguga running and your data backed up, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or improve features. If a change takes away something important that Pro includes, we'll tell you beforehand, and you can cancel and get a refund for the unused part of your subscription. If we ever plan to shut Balasiguga down, we'll give at least 60 days' notice, a way to export your family's data, and a refund for any Pro time you've paid for but won't get to use.

9. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded (see section 7). Subject to that:

10. Ending your account

You can stop using Balasiguga at any time and ask us to delete your family's data (see the Privacy Policy); deleting your family also cancels Pro. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make an important change, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect (sooner only where the law or security requires it), and ask you to agree again where needed. If you don't agree, you can stop using Balasiguga and cancel Pro before the change takes effect, and we'll refund the unused part of a yearly plan. The date at the top shows the latest version.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep any protections the laws of your country give you.
